Subdomains are URLs for different section of your website. They use your main domain name and a prefix.For example, if your domain is yourdomain.com and prefix is subdomain, a subdomain might be subdomain.yourdomain.com. Subdomains are very usefull to expand your web presence without purchasing multiple domains. Now lets see how to create a subdomain through c Panel.
Step-1: You must first log into your cPanel hosting control panel and scroll down.
Click on the “Subdomains” icon under the “Domains” category.
Step-2: On the next screen, you will see Create a subdomain box. Now put your desire subdomain prefix. Here I have put “kamol.kamolbd.com”.
Its is the most important that always created Subdomain in your public_html folder.
Step-3: Click the “Document Root” box to bring up the default directory for the new subdomain.The Default location will be public_htm/kamol.
Step-4: Now click the ‘Create’ button and the sub domain will be added by cPanel.On the next page you will see the confirmation that your subdomain has been created.
Step-5: Click the ‘Go Back’ link.
Step-6: Now you are in Subdomains page where the subdomain will now be listed.
Step-7: You can also grant FTP access to the subdomain from this page. But it is not mandotory to create subdomain.
Now you can upload some file in your subdomain folder. Now go to your web browser and type “subdomain.yourdomain.com” and will see your webpage.
